We are Girls, but... - Women artists in Romania between everyday life and visions - Video

As filmmaker it is always her concern to connect documentary elements with artistic perspectives. That means to challenge questions of visual anthropology to art and artists, especially to their living and working conditions. She is interested how the conditions are structured by the social category of gender. The video is the result of a research in Romania which was especially affected by a manifold exchange, collaboration and the friendship with the protagonists. She is curious how women of her generation and the same fields of engagement, but with a different social-cultural background, develop their approaches on specific phenomena. One can discuss differences and similarities and develop common perspectives.
