Jerome Ming makes photography, on-site installations, public interventions
Born 1967 in London, UK; lived in Yaounde, Cameroon, now in Shanghai, China

today / tomorrow, Installation / Performance, 30. 5. – 9. 6. 2011

Through photography and video, he engages in experiments and research focusing on environmental issues. His aim is to show the impact and responses to physical landscapes in nature as well as in constructed environments.

Today/tomorrow is an installation involving a series of actions that evolved over several weeks, responding and transforming to situations in the gallery, including the preparations for the exhibition, the workshops and the public presentations. The installation incorporates a set of five photographs I produced in Cameroon. The work partly deals with displacement and explores connections between a personal history and a perception of an identity.  Jerome Ming
